OWNERSHIP OF SONG AND RIGHTS

By participating in UMPlay, artists agree that they own the rights to the music and content submitted. UMPlay respects intellectual property rights and expects participants to submit original work or have appropriate permissions for any copyrighted material included in their submissions.

ELIGIBILITY

Contestants must be at least 18 years old at the time of entry to participate in UMPlay. Employees, affiliates, and immediate family members of UMPlay organizers are not eligible to participate.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Artists must adhere to the submission guidelines provided by UMPlay, including but not limited to video format, length, and content appropriateness. Any submissions that violate these guidelines may be disqualified.

JUDGING CRITERIA

Contestants will be judged based on criteria such as vocal ability, stage presence, originality, and audience engagement. The decision of the judges is final and binding. Judges in UMPlay refers to all users who have subscribed as judges.

REGISTRATION AND PARTICIPATION

Contestants must register on the UMPlay app download from the App Store or Play Store during the specified registration period to participate. Only one entry per contestant is allowed.

VOTING AND AUDIENCE ENGAGEMENT

UMPlay has incorporated public voting mechanisms during specified periods through the subscription of judges. Contestants and fans must adhere to fair play guidelines, and any fraudulent or unfair practices may result in disqualification.

PRIZES AND REWARDS

Winners of UMPlay may receive prizes such as cash rewards, exclusive opportunities in the music industry, and recognition as UMPlay's Next Music Star. Prizes are non-transferable and subject to change at the discretion of UMPlay organizers. Judges or fans also stand the chance of winning weekly and monthly awards at the sole discretion of the organizers.

PROMOTIONAL USE

By participating in UMPlay, artists grant UMPlay the right to use their name, likeness, and submitted content for promotional purposes related to the project.

DISQUALIFICATION

UMPlay reserves the right to disqualify any contestant who violates the terms and conditions, engages in unethical behaviour, or fails to comply with submission guidelines.

CHANGES TO TERMS

UMPlay organizers reserve the right to amend or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes through official communication channels.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Ghana, and any disputes arising out of or related to UMPlay shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ghana.
